Affirmation of the week: I will stop comparing myself and my success to others.
Heyyyyyyyy Besties! I am in such a good mood and I hope a little of that positivity rubs off on you as well.
There are a lot of exciting things happening behind the scenes and I finally get to share two of those things with you!
I am hosting a confidence-building workshop next month. It’ll be on August 13th at 6 PM CST. I will be walking you through the steps to increase your confidence in order to improve all areas of your life. It’s free to join! Sign up for the workshop.
I am creating my own online membership! It will be full of so many goodies such as life and business courses, journal prompts, monthly challenges, and more! I’m still putting the finishing touches on everything, but once it’s done, I will be moving the newsletter to that platform as well. (You won’t have to do anything)
Before the workshop, I wanna give you just a little glimpse at what to expect.
Self-confidence is an internal process that reacts to external situations. Once your confidence has been knocked down, it is hard to bring it back up again, especially if you remain in the situation that brought your confidence down in the first place.
The key to having high self-confidence is for you to be in control of what you allow to be connected to your confidence. A lot of the time, we put our value in inconsistent things and place too much value on things that have no benefit for us, therefore we walk around not feeling like our best selves.
I know previously I had tied most of my self-confidence to how much money I was making. The more money I made, the better I felt. The less money I made, the worse I felt. You can imagine this was a toxic cycle that I created for myself especially being self-employed because money comes in waves when you are your own boss.
Confidence itself comes in waves. Even the most confident people have off days. The difference is that they give themselves grace and do not make their current feelings permanent feelings. They have a toolbox to reach into that reminds them why they shouldn’t be feeling this way. They have a support system that pours into them so on their off days, they still are full.
When it comes to building your confidence, you want to make sure you are not believing any self-talk. It’s going to take a lot of rewiring your brain to stop negative self-talk in its tracks, but once you’re able to take control of your mind and your feelings, you’re able to control your life.
